November 2002: We took Dad and Nonie to the Napa Valley Wine Country for his 80th birthday where we stayed at the Silverado Country Club. The fall weather was perfect, the leaves were changing and the sun was shining. Much to our pleasant surprise Dad and Nonie became quite good wine connoisseurs by the time the weekend was over and we enjoyed some great views and food which included the Culinary Institute of America, Auberge Du Soleil in the hills, Brix and Tra Vigne in St Helena. We introduced them to my favorite Chardonnay at Rombauer and Zdenka's own winery, ZD Wines. We also took the tram at the Sterling Winery and got a great education and tour at the Beringer Winery where Dad and Nonie developed their wine tasting skills at length. | Select a Gallery to View
